what is
EMBODIED communication practice
A PROCESS OF LEARNING THAT EMERGES FROM THE SCIENCE OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
a new approach that builds on a natural process
Embodied Communication Practice follows the process of human development and our initial acquisition of communication skills. Through this we are able to understand your current communication style and habitual vocal and movement patterns. We then set about rebuilding a positive and empowered foundation for the development of effective communication.
communication is a neurobiological process
Communication results from the coordination between what we are thinking and feeling and our body’s sensory and muscular response to that, to our environment, and to the other people in it. Developing communication skills therefore requires that we work with the whole person: body, mind, voice and psyche.

what RESULTs can you expect?
The changes that happen as a result of ECP:
As a multimodal approach, Embodied Communication Practice transforms, empowers and cultivates people by harnessing the personal, expressive, and professional potential that is ignited through an engaged and dynamic body and voice.
Through this process you can expect:
-
Improved self-awareness and technical ability which will enable you to ‘craft’ your verbal and non-verbal communication for maximum impact and influence in various situations.
-
A higher level of self-mastery which will result in you being noticeably more relaxed, confident and better-able to express your opinions and ideas across all levels of business and in presentations, meetings, conflict situations and negotiations.
-
Vocal development which will result in enriched vocal dynamics leading to your voice sounding more resonant, open, clear, well-modulated, and interesting to listen to. You will no longer be stuck in predictable and habitual ways of sounding or gesturing.
-
More freedom of movement, improved body language and better posture, as well as improved awareness of your breathing and enhanced breathing patterns. Physical tension and stress patterns that effect your communication will be identified and resolved.
-
To find your voice and thereby experience a tangible inner confidence that becomes embedded in your sense of self and a part of your identity. This will result in your increased motivation, energy levels and an improved overall sense of wellbeing.
-
Your enhanced communication style to come across as authentic which will position you as approachable, knowledgable, steady, grounded and self-assured.
-
In addition, the process deepens the client’s understanding of the vocal and movement nuances of others. This skill offers the client tools with which to ‘read’ the intentions, moods, and underlying communication patterns of others thus enhancing their ability to connect, empathise, motivate and negotiate.
